In 2021 ASL set a target to expand our internship scheme, in order to provide opportunities to the next generation of talent worldwide. During 2022, ASL welcomed a total of seven new Interns globally, across a variety of departments.
We spoke to our latest intern Zhaniya Pirmoldayeva, based in Kazakhstan, about her experience with ASL and what the opportunity has provided.
Zhaniya, is a 19 year old student studying Marketing at Kazakh-German University in Almaty. Zhaniya is a hardworking and driven individual with a passion to apply theoretical knowledge into practice. Her interests include learning foreign languages and she is already fluent in four languages: Kazak, Russian, German and English.
When joining ASL, Zhaniya focused on becoming involved in the day to day operations of the company, in order to gain practical experience. This gave her the opportunity to work alongside one of our most experienced Account Directors helping to raise orders and manage warehouse operations, all of which has provided well-rounded and valuable experience throughout her tenure.
Zhaniya explained 'I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to become part of ASL's team. It's given me invaluable experience in all aspects of business, especially working with suppliers and clients across our region. I am excited for the rest of my internship.'
