After breaking out close to the Rhodes Memorial, the blaze quickly spread across Table Mountain on the morning of Sunday 18th April. Renee Baptiste, Monique Venter & Daryn-Ann Boniface from ASL’s Cape Town team decided to help by taking much needed supplies to the local Fire Station, to support the firefighters tackling the blaze. ASL’s donation included water, bread, fruit, eye drops, chocolate and energy drinks. ![fire4](https://blog.aslglobal.com/hs-fs/hubfs/fire4.jpg?width=1664&name=fire4.jpg) Some communities were evacuated and several buildings were damaged, including the University of Cape Town’s historic Jagger Library, but luckily no one was hurt by the fires, which raged for several days before firefighters brought them under control. Well done to team ASL for swinging into action so swiftly to help your local community! #oneworld #oneteam #aslchampions --- ![CSR COMMITMENTS IMAGE-02](https://blog.aslglobal.com/hs-fs/hubfs/CSR%20COMMITMENTS%20IMAGE-02.png?width=1688&name=CSR%20COMMITMENTS%20IMAGE-02.png) [Discover more about our ONE WORLD initiative](http://www.aslglobal.com/one-world/) - Share: - [Twitter](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/asls-south-africa-team-helps-cape-town-firefighters&text=ASL’s%20South%20Africa%20team%20helps%20Cape%20Town%20Firefighters) - [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/asls-south-africa-team-helps-cape-town-firefighters;title=ASL’s%20South%20Africa%20team%20helps%20Cape%20Town%20Firefighters) [Next news](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/asl-helps-heineken-save-4.4-million-plastic-bottles-from-landfill) [Previous news](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/https/blog.aslglobal.com/blog/happy-creativity-innovation-day) ### By category - [Blog (115)](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/tag/blog) - [One World (110)](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/tag/one-world) - [Company News (77)](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/tag/company-news) - [Insights (58)](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/tag/insights) - [OneTeam (54)](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/tag/oneteam) - [aslfamily (43)](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/tag/aslfamily) - [Live Projects (18)](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/tag/live-projects) - [One Team (12)](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/tag/one-team) - [OneWorld (7)](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/tag/oneworld) See all ## Latest news - 5/06/2023 [Company News](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/tag/company-news), [One World](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/tag/one-world) ### [ASL Global Sustainability Report 2023](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/asl-global-sustainability-report-2023) - 25/04/2023 [Company News](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/tag/company-news) ### [ASL and Diageo Strengthen Ties with Muti-Contract Renewal in Africa](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/asl-global-and-diageo-with-a-multi-contract) - 21/03/2023 [aslfamily](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/tag/aslfamily), [One World](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/tag/one-world), [OneTeam](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/tag/oneteam) ### [Blog: How Sustainable Procurement can Drive Positive Change](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/blog-how-sustainable-procurement-can-drive-positive-change) ###### Get in touch ![triangle](https://blog.aslglobal.com/hubfs/AslGlobal_January2019/Images/div_white.png) Contact one of our offices to find out how we can help support you [Contact us](http://www.aslglobal.com/contact/get-in-touch/) ###### Follow us ![triangle](https://blog.aslglobal.com/hubfs/AslGlobal_January2019/Images/div_white.png) Get your daily dose of all things ASL - [LinkedIn+](https://www.linkedin.com/company/asl-global/) - [Twitter](https://twitter.com/ASLGlobal_) ###### Keep in touch ![triangle](https://blog.aslglobal.com/hubfs/AslGlobal_January2019/Images/div_white.png) Please sign-up below so that we can keep you up-to-date with all the exciting developments at ASL around the world [Sign-up](http://www.aslglobal.com/contact/keep-in-touch/) [![ASL Global](https://blog.aslglobal.com/hubfs/AslGlobal_January2019/Images/logo_w.png)](http://www.aslglobal.com) [![arrow](https://blog.aslglobal.com/hubfs/AslGlobal_January2019/Images/button_up.png)](https://blog.aslglobal.com/blog/asls-south-africa-team-helps-cape-town-firefighters#top) - Copyright © ASL 2019 - [Terms and Conditions](http://www.aslglobal.com/terms-and-conditions/) - [Privacy & Cookie Policy](http://www.aslglobal.com/privacy-cookie-policy/) - [ASL Code of Conduct](http://www.aslglobal.com/mainsite/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/ASL-Supplier-Code-of-Conduct-V1.pdf) - [Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy](http://www.aslglobal.com/anti-bribery-and-corruption-policy/) - [Legal Information](http://www.aslglobal.com/legal-information/) - [Sitemap](http://www.aslglobal.com/sitemap/)
