Earlier this year, we announced that (after a Covid-imposed break of 12 months) we were hoping to get ASL's intern programme back on track during 2021.
Six months on, we're delighted to report that ASL operations in the UK & Vietnam recently welcomed three new young recruits into their teams! A warm welcome to Triss Nguyen & Phan Quang Phú in Vietnam, and Ellie Roy in the UK.
We are always keen to support emerging talent from within our local communities. New ideas and fresh thinking are always welcome at ASL, and we believe that offering these young people the opportunity to work as part of our team helps to build a diverse and more successful business.
These three young individuals are working within some of ASL's most dynamic and creative teams, but are also connecting with the wider business.
Triss Nguyen explains “Even though it has been a month, I still remember my very first day at ASL. I was warmly welcomed not only by ASL Vietnam but the whole business, everyone made me feel very at home. It’s just like I’m a member of ASL family, not just an intern.”
Despite ongoing Covid restrictions, we want our new interns to feel comfortable and well-supported within their work environment, helping them to develop the confidence to engage succesfully with the business and make a positive contribution during their time with us.
Triss reflected on her experience so far "ASL is a very friendly workplace, where people support and encourage each other. If I make a mistake, my teammates help me to learn and accomplish the task sucesfully. It's been a lovely experience and I'm learning a lot along the way".
