Currently studying Business Administration in the beautiful UK city of Bath, Phelim first joined the Hong Kong team as an intern last Summer. He reflects on his experiences with ASL:
“I spent eight weeks at ASL Global Hong Kong as an intern and I can say with total confidence that it was one of the most valuable experiences I could’ve had as a young adult. I was apprehensive at first, to say the least, as I was unsure what exactly being part of a marketing team would entail.
To my surprise, and thankfully so, the team was more than welcoming and I fit right in. Over time I was taught how to conduct market research, digitize boxes of files, and build & design catalogs for some of the biggest brands in the world. That, however, is far from all I got from my time at ASL.
ASL provided me the space and opportunity to learn new skills that will benefit me for years to come, such as how to communicate with clients, how to properly design product pages, and even how to use Photoshop proficiently. These skills have served me well even to this day, as I embark on my journey through higher education at the University of Bath, where I study Business Administration with a focus on marketing.
I would argue that my time at ASL only reinforced my desire to enter the business world. The team and internship were a great help and a fantastic opportunity for me to learn and grow.”
