As part of ASL's One World initiative, we're proud to announce the creation of a brand new sustainability ‘Commitment Wall’ in our Hong Kong Head Office.
This new Commitment Wall underscores ASL's ongoing support for our One World strategy to help build to a more sustainable future for us all.
We have invited all ASL staff and visitors to sign the wall and write their commitment to making a positive personal change that will help to create a more sustainable world.
Our Chief Operations Officer, Guy Williams got the ball rolling this week by committing to reducing Air Conditioning consumption both in the office and at home - not always easy in Hong Kong, so well done Guy!
Everyone who signs the wall is committing to making a change, however small, to act in a more responsible and sustainable way, which will help reduce our impact, inspire our partners and help local communities flourish.
ASL Global's Chairman, Alec Pettigrew, commented on the new Wall "Delivering a meaningful sustainability strategy takes real commitment, both from ASL as a business and it's people as individuals. We're looking forward to seeing our Commitment Wall filling up with lots of other great ideas, big and small, which will help to create a more sustainable business in the future".
More Commitment Walls Planned
Of course, not all of ASL's 330+ staff around the world are able to visit Hong Kong office in person, so, for now, we've launched a nomination scheme where ASL team members can nominate a Hong Kong colleague to sign the wall on their behalf.
We're hoping to return to all our ASL office locations soon. Once that happens, our CSR team is planning to install Commitment Walls in other ASL offices, each adapted to suit the location. With 40 locations around the world there is plenty of space for more personal commitments which, put together, will help to make a big difference to the sustainability of our business and the wider world.
